Preparation Method:
The preparation of tert-butyl (2-hydroxypyl) carbamate is usually carried out by the following steps:
1. t-butyl alcohol and dimethylformamide react to obtain dimethyl (t-butoxycarbamate)
2. react dimethyl (t-butoxycarbamate) with potassium bicarbonate to generate ethoxycarbonyl (t-butoxycarbamate) alcohol product
3. Finally, the ethoxycarbonyl (t-butoxycarbamate) alcohol product is reacted with hydroxypropyl amine to give tert-butyl (2-hydroxypropyl)carbamate.
Safety Information:
- tert-butyl (2-hydroxypyl) carbamate needs to be operated under appropriate laboratory conditions, because it may cause fire or explosion in the presence of high temperature, open flame or spark.
-Wear personal protective equipment such as protective gloves, glasses and lab coats to avoid direct contact with skin and eyes.
-When storing, keep it in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, away from fire and oxidizing agents.
